My flights have been purchased and I will officially be in Florence, Italy on January 8, 2010! I am so excited and can't wait. I am thinking about studying up on Italian now before I leave so I am not a complete idiot over there. I do have to take a Basic Italian Conversation class, but I figure being a little prepared never hurt! Now all I have to do is figure out how to pack everything I want to take! Does anyone have any ideas???

You are going to have such an incredible experience. My niece studied in Florence for a semester as well and she absolutely loved it! We are supposed to meet a friend of ours somewhere in Italy maybe in April so I will keep you posted in case you can meet us wherever or we can go see you after or before... who knows!!! Take items you can cram down really small! Just take the basics!
